The University of Chicago Educational Assistance Plan gives employees and their dependent children several educational assistance options, depending on their position and, in some instances, their years of consecutive employment in an eligible position at the University. Benefits for staff employees include tuition assistance for classes at the University for themselves and tuition assistance for their dependent children at the University and the Lab School. Benefits for faculty and other academic appointees includes tuition assistance for their dependents at the University and the Laboratory School.
Employees must complete an application and return it to the Benefits Office before the beginning of the applicable quarter. Applications are available from the Benefits Office and on their website: hrservices.uchicago.edu.
The student’s tuition account will be updated after the applicable benefits office has submitted the remission award to the Bursar’s Office. This remission credit will appear as an adjustment on the next student billing statement. College and Graduates students can view current information on their tuition account at myUChicago.
