Prior Fees

Fees for which students may be billed include: Student Life Fees, health insurance premiums, Foreign Language Reading Examination Fees, Late Payment Fees, Late Registration Fees, and other fees that may be applicable.

Below is a list of fees for the 2015/2016 Academic Year:



  • Lifetime Transcript Fee for entering graduate students $60
  • College Class Fee (1st year only) $386 per Quarter
  • College International Pre-Orientation Fee (1st year only) $165
  • Foreign Language Exam Fee $70
  • Foreign Language Examination in absentia $150
  • Late Registration for Foreign Language Exam $30
  • Disability Insurance (Pritzker only) - Formula based on age and plan start date
  • Chicago Booth Administrative Fee for matriculating campus MBA students $2,000
  • LEAD Fee for matriculating part-time MBA students (1st qtr. only) $1,100
  • Chicago Booth Program Fee for matriculating part-time MBA students (1st qtr. only) $500
  • Fee for Cancellation of Application to Graduate (for each cancellation of an application for the same degree) $50
  • Late Change Penalty $50
  • Late Registration Penalty Weeks 1-3 $100
  • Late Registration Penalty Week 4+ $150
  • Late Change-of-Registration Fee (for a quarter prior to current) $150
  • Late Registration Penalty for Prior Quarters $250
  • Continuous Registration Penalty Fee (for Ph.D. students whose quarterly Advanced registration is restricted) $250
  • Fee for Late Confirmation of return by College Student (for College students who confirm their return to the College after September 28) $50
  • Fee for Late Payment Fee in Summer for Spring Balance Due $200
    • (A $200 late payment fee is assessed during the Summer Quarter to the account of any student whose Spring Quarter tuition and fees are not settled.)
  • Returned Check Fee $50
  • Chicago Card Replacement Fee $20 each
  • UPass Replacement Fee $50
