If you are paying from outside the U.S., or by wire transfer, we require use of Flywire, our secure international payment partner. Flywire lets you pay in your local currency at competitive exchange rates, offers customer support through its own portal, and tracks your payment until it is applied to the student account.
International transfers can take several days, so we recommend paying well before the due date.
Students can authorize up to 10 additional users, such as a parent, spouse, sponsor, or employer, to make payments for them. To add someone, go to EBill/EPay in the my.UChicago portal and enter their email address. Once activated, Authorized Users can submit payments through the Authorized User Portal.
To protect families from fraud, the University does not accept direct wire payments to its bank accounts for tuition and fees, and we do not share bank account details. Direct deposits will be returned, and the sender may be charged an Unauthorized Payment Penalty Fee of up to 5% of the transaction amount.
If you have trouble submitting a payment, first contact Flywire Customer Service. For further questions, reach out to us through our Contact Us form.
