Quarterly Payment Plan

The Quarterly Payment Plan lets the payer defer the quarterly student account balance into three equal installments. The enrollment fee is $30 per quarter. It is open to undergraduates and select full-time Master’s programs.

How to Enroll

Enroll each quarter once you receive your quarterly billing statement. Students enroll through my.UChicago; Authorized Users enroll through the Authorized User Portal.

  • Only one person may enroll per quarter for each Student Account.
  • If you expect financial aid, wait to enroll until it is credited, typically about ten days before the quarter begins.

Enrollment Dates

  • Enrollment opens when the first quarterly billing statement is issued and closes at the end of the add/drop period. Payment dates follow the Monthly Billing Calendar.

Payments

You can pay from a domestic or international bank account (international payments must exceed $50).

You can also set up auto-pay. Auto-pay can be withdrawn and payment method can be modified by the payer who set up the plan. Please note that any adjustments should be made at least 7 business days before the due date.

Changes to Your Balance

Your balance may change with new charges or credits after you enroll:

  • If it increases, you’ll receive an email requesting approval. If you don’t accept within ten days, your enrollment is withdrawn, and all charges become due immediately.
  • If it decreases, your next payment may be adjusted automatically.

Enrollees who don’t complete their plan cannot enroll in a future plan and are subject to late fees and registration holds. Additional terms are available at the time of enrollment.

Statements

Enrollees receive a monthly statement. Payments should always be submitted online through the Payment Plan for payments to be applied properly.
